OK, I know you guys come here for gay porn and to get off, but I wouldn’t be being true to myself, if I didn’t use this blog to say a few words. Today is World AIDS Day, let us take a moment or two to remember those of us, who have passed on. The gay community has lost many lives to HIV/AIDS, yet so many of us carry on like it’s not a reality. We have become too complacent.

If you don’t know someone, who has died from HIV/AIDS, you probably know someone who is positive, even if they don’t know it…….yet.

The fight continues, please get involved in whatever way you can. Get tested and do so regularly, there is power in knowledge. If you know your status, you can take the necessary actions and gain some kind of control over your life.

There are HIV/AIDS organizations all over the USA, UK and the world. If you have a few hours to spare, please consider being a volunteer. We all have to do our bit, however small it might be. So many loved ones have gone and they will be followed by many, many, more! I urge you guys to take a moment to think about your lives and others. We still live in a prejudiced world, the least gay men(men who sleep with men, DL, bisexual, straight but sometimes have gay sex, gay for pay, or whatever you choose to call yourself) can do, is support each other.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this and keep on fighting and be safe!!!

Tomorrow is AIDS Walk New York, the world’s largest AIDS fundraising event, benefits Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) and over 30 other tri-state area AIDS service organizations. GMHC is the nation’s oldest and most comprehensive AIDS service organization, serving approximately 15,000 people living with HIV and AIDS and their families each year, and countless more through its prevention and advocacy work locally and nationally.

We, at About Gay Porn Blog, would like to encourage you to do your bit. We all know someone living with, affected by, or who has passed on, from HIV/AIDS. This year, we haven’t registered a team, but, instead, have chosen to help 1 walker in their fundraising efforts.

The chosen walker is Cy, a female NYC resident, who is walking tomorrow, to raise money for our friends and loved ones, despite the fact that she has problems with her legs and walks with a cane(often in a considerable amount of pain), yet she will be there showing her support. If she can do it, so can we! I don’t need to remind you how our community has been affected and ravaged by this disease. Yes, we know times are hard, but whatever you can give, will be greatly appreciated. Go on, give up that extra cocktail tonight and make a difference.

If you can’t donate and are in NY, come out and show your support, it’s also a fun day!

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and if you can’t donate, or come join the walk, maybe we’ll see you next year.
