All blog posts, videos, pics etc of Flash Brown, the big dick black straight porn star, who hit the scene last year, will be removed(this morning), from About Gay Porn Blog and all other blogs in the family, at his request. Although, we didn’t HAVE to take them down, I chose to honor his request, because, quite frankly, I have no interest in promoting ANYONE, who doesn’t wish to be promoted on gay porn blogs.
Apparently, Flash Brown, is of the opinion, that the couple of solo videos he did on gay porn sites and his appearance on a popular gay porn blog, such as this one, will hurt his blossoming career in straight porn. Obviously, dude has not spoken to the countless straight porn stars, who have appeared on gay porn blogs. I doubt very much, that the careers of Brian Pumper, Nat Turnher(never quite sure how to spell his name), Sean Michaels, Jean-Claude Baptiste, CJ Wright, Jason Brown, etc, have been hurt by having gay and bisexual fans.
So, I apologize to his fans, but he will no longer be featured on any of our blogs – straight, gay, or bisexual. In this economy, I would have thought, porn stars, straight or gay, would welcome all the fans they could get, but your dollar is not good enough for Flash Brown. I am guessing, he doesn’t realize, that some visitors to gay porn blogs also purchase straight porn. I mean, we also get tons of female visitors. Or, maybe, his heterosexual image(which wasn’t in question), is far more important to him, than gaining fans and the revenue that brings. Who knows, maybe he never got into porn, for the fans or money, maybe it’s strictly for pleasure.
Apparently, he has also contacted other gay porn blogs, to ask them to remove his images/videos. I doubt, all of them will(because they don’t have to and he did sign models releases for the shoots in question). Not to mention the TGPs some of those galleries will already be on. So you can always Google, if you are hell bent on supporting an individual, who doesn’t value your support.
Personally, I find it extremely petty, small-minded, homophobic and lacking good business sense, but, that’s just my humble opinion. If he feels uncomfortable with it, for whatever reason, valid, or not, then we don’t want him on our blogs. I have never encountered this, in all my years, in this industry, but I have no desire, to make anyone feel uncomfortable. I am sure in a few years time, he will look back and realize the absurdity of it all, or maybe not.
Again, just my 2 cents and no hard feelings(they know what I mean). We are all entitled to our opinions, feelings and the way, in which, we strive to carve out our niche(s) in life. That’s what makes the world go round.

As you all know, Flash Brown won “Best Male Newcomer” in the Urban X awards. The reason why he won this award because he had a lot of fans who voted for him. However, the majority of his fans and the the people who voted for him were homosexuals. He sent us text messages asking for our votes so he could win an award for that category. As loyal fans, we decided to show our support by voting for him and he won. I can deal with the fact that he didn’t thank the gay community, but to request we have nothing to do with us is beyond ungrateful and stupid. Basically, Flash is telling the gay community, “I got what I wanted from you fags, now stay the hell away from me”! If any gay men put there still want to support him and see his videos, go ahead and knock yourself out. However, don’t spend your hard earned money on him. You can always download his videos for free.
I’m sure he will be making some type of apology soon. “Ummm, I didn’t really mean it…I’m not like that….blah, blah.”
But the damage is already done. Someone that goes to that length to disassocaite himself from people, is really hiding from his own truth. Most male porn stars don’t care where their fans come from. There are so many interviews out there with straight porn stars who acknowledge their fans and really don’t care what their sexuality is.

I didn’t think there was any need to go into the details, coz I thought, at the time, he was just an ill-informed/ill-advised dude. Yes, I was mad as hell about the threatening email, but his rep apologized, when she realized I knew better.
I think a lot of it, does stem from ignorance and maybe, other personal issues, but that’s for him to work on.
For the record, I’m not buying his apology, either. If he cared so much, he could have contacted me directly. I think Flash Brown is really sad, I’m no longer supporting him. I’ve always enjoyed all your blogs and I see how you support the black porn stars and people in general, on Twitter etc. This was the first gay blog to really put the black porn stars(gay or straight) at the forefront. I’ve been wanting to talk about Flash Brown for awhile, but I never thought I would be heard until now. My name is Robbie and I’m an openly gay male that’s a talent scout and casting agent for the gay and straight porn industry. When I found out that Flash requested that his content be taken down from anything gay related, it was a shock to me. Not because of what he said, but because I never thought that Flash would show his true colors to any other gay men, but me. I’m sure you would like to know why I thought I was the only gay male who knew how homophobic and ignorant Flash really was. It’s because I use to be Flash Brown’s agent when he first got started and had to put up with all his drama. The reason I’m sharing this with everyone is because I would like to let everyone know all the details about what I had to through with Flash when I use to represent him because this is something I feel his fans and ex-fans need to know about him and it’s something I want feedback on. I also would like to make announcement about something positive I plan to do for all the gay fans of straight men in porn. However, I will not be giving any details about my experience repping Flash or my announcement on this post.
